Oh jesus, working on someone else's file is SO HARD. I'm so sorry you went through that! #3 isn't chickening out.. it's NOT that important, really, and you made it through the day, and all will be OK.
All-too familiar with panic attacks. As you seem to be, as well. What always helped me was remembering it wasn't going to kill me. And breathing. Breathing's a good thing, I find.
When do you predict you'll be able to escape? I'm thinking some time in the latter half of next week?
PS: can you do my flash homework for me? It's 2d animation. You do 2d animation, right? ;)
i do 2d animation. i do not know flash, however. and maybe we can get together with verilens since she's visiting me this weekend. and i just nearly avoided another eruption when the wrong version of the animation came up for review.
...so you mean I have to find someone else to do my homework?! Bah!
This weekend should be fine, provided I have enough notice and can justify to myself the concept of taking time off of the aforementioned homework, seeing as it appears I must do it *myself*, now. ;) (Should be pretty easy justification, btw, but my organisational skillz are currently hiding beneath piles of Flash, Photoslop and Dreamweaver and won't be seen for about a week and a half.)
*gasp gasp* ok. now me find way of dealing. me now Filip Ivanovich, Slovakian animator, me work for goat. me get no goat. me work hard and still no goat. man promise me goat and i want goat!
never mind if something is wonky with the plate (the film that is scanned in and that we add these CG elements to). for example, if they move the camera, we have to match exactly our element by reproducing the camera and other background features.
a week later....harroldsheepJune 28 2006, 23:36:21 UTC
DOH! with the Da Vinci Code and everything, how the heck could i have gotten that wrong. heck, i even looked up the proper spelling of Michelangelo, just to be sure! luckily, everything turned out ok...still on the iffy part for a full-time gig here at RSP, but the animation came thru ok and the next couple were well liked by the animation director. things are starting to wind down here a little...some animators have already left and the list of shots still to be animated is growing shorter and shorter.

Oh, and Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa, not Michelangelo. :P
I'm rooting for your survival.
