the new york marathon
i won't do a blow-by-blow account of the race this time.
i had a great time running the race (fab weather, not too packed), and am very satisfied with race logistics and all but is it wrong to say that i enjoyed running the tokyo marathon more, even though new york has been such a big dream since i started running? perhaps it was because tokyo was ( Read more... ) -

it's 2.21am on a sunday morning, we touched down almost 24 hours ago and i'm still trying to tune back. i haven't had too much of an appetite the last couple of days (had only 1-2 small meals each day) - well, we spent 24 hours on planes and i think it's safe to say i'm officially sick of plane meals, not that we took much anyway. thank god for the ( Read more... ) -

paying tribute to running
m always comments that i have a lot of discipline and determination in me. we were chatting about this again yesterday and she attributed these traits to the fact that i do sports. so i thought more about it and can’t decide whether sports has shaped me or whether it’s precisely because i have these traits that i am able to do endurance sports like ( Read more... ) -

in between the crazy weeks, gl and i booked tickets on airasia x for paris next april. i was having the most intense monday and she texted/called me and within minutes, we were booked to go.

sundown half 2011
i have told everyone at the start of the year that i would not participate in any races this year except for the newton 30km which would be a good practice for new york since it's in october (that would not materialise now since it's scheduled to be the last week of october). i had done my share of local races in the past few years, and honestly ( Read more... ) -
alone in india
i was in four cities in six days. mumbai was for work where i stayed two nights at the very lovely westin hotel. our mumbai office is located at the same building, how luxe! i found the notorious traffic still tolerable, even though i was caught in the evening peak jam. i think last year's two vietnam trips have managed my expectation very well. histroy in the making
it has been a long two weeks.
