* In this article, an "outsider" moves to the islands... then sells or plans to sell a part of it in order to make a profit which is typical in Hawai'i. In other words, what happened prior to the illegal overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawai'i when haole businessmen moved to Hawai'i to make a profit is still happening:

I inherited a few plots of undeveloped lava land from my family- can you direct me to a group that I can talk to in order to make it available for indigenous use?

I think the plots are on one of the smaller islands, but I'd have to check. For the last two years development agencies keep sending me letters trying to get me to sell it, but I'd rather either build an acupressure clinic on it if I can and leave the rest open for traditional use, or out and out give it to an indigenous group if I can't build on it.
