You know, I just can't do it.
I don't know that I'll ever figure out completely why I'm so in love with this place but nowhere else I've been feels the same. It's not as simple as it being home--It's the land itself: the swamps, the ocean, the dirt itself. It just fits me.

I've had a whole life of dealing with the pros and cons of tourists...It's infuriating but, like so many things here, also weird and entertaining.

*L* I'm just a swamp rat...no denying it. It's stamped on my DNA.

Someday I'll get a chance to visit that way again.
For the past 24 hours I've been threatening to run away to the mountains...maybe on the way through...;)

Love you too, sexy pants! I'm hoping I can get brake pads on the car this week so I can actually SEE you!

At least we have fall through spring where we actually own the place.

I'm tellin' ya. I swear this place is the location equivalent of crack--It's addictive and smells bad when heated.
