Here I am

Caught up on Elementary. Just in time for there to be no new episode this week, apparently. That is pretty much my life, in a nutshell. I don't think this post needs spoiler-tagging, but if you haven't scene the last three months of episodes, it might reveal some details (though very few specifics). ( I decided to put it under a cut just in case )

I'm like 3 weeks behind on TM. The show's just made me lose interest. I'm kinda over it.
Besides Elementary is my jam now and I just, oh I love it so much. It's too bad apparently that the roosters did go to a rescue or something (Joan told Lestrade that someone was coming to pick them up) because Sherlock sitting there watching his televisions with the damn rooster on his lap petting it was the best thing ever.
I just, right now there's nothing about Elementary I don't like.
Alas March Madness is on now and they're not airing their Thursday shows.

The reboot of TM is actually pretty decent. There's one major flaw, but mostly I'm almost surprised it's the same writers. They're giving their female characters agency. It's... it's weird, given what has gone before.

But yeah, Elementary, the writing on that show. So much yes. (Although, I'd forgotten the roosters were going to a petting zoo or similar. That is sad). Just, that show. There is a perfect storm of acting and writing existing there. It's not reiventing the wheel, but it's doing what it does so damn well.

I thought that the episode where Moriarty came back was fantastic in so many ways and one of the top 3 highlights of the 2013/2014 tv season so far out of all 8 shows I watch. What a pity the actress is not available to do more episodes. Yes, I too was fascinated by Moriarty's fascination with Joan and the last bit where she tells Sherlock that he would have found her murder of that FBI agent repugnant so she chose not to do it. What amazing writing.
The other episodes of the season were good too, yes, like the one the roosters came.

Elementary, honestly, the acting is top notch. It's really fabulous, but I think it's the writing that puts it over the top. Because the writing is so very fabulous. And I really adore Lucy Liu as Wason. Just yes. That show is such a solid show. It's so consistently good. And Moriarity as the love of Sherlock's life was a stroke of genius.

And the random animals are generally just hilarious.
