Ok, can I just say how much I kind of adore this episode, what with Lady Une's overkill assassination attempt, Relena totally blindsiding and pwning Heero (boy is such a loser in social situations), and I think my favorite part is when he is looking at the party things and goes "I'm not involved", and that is hilarious considering what he is like at the end where he can't kill her and I just kind of adore this episode sometimes for the sheer WTF of it all, and it is how I love my Heero/Relena the best, them being all crazy and insane and WTF.

I always laugh at the beginning "YOURE MY REAL MOTHER, YOULL ALWAYS BE MY MOTHER!"

Im not a Relena fan, but I do like the bit where she doesnt flinch when he almost hits her.

People never credit her for her fearlessnes and her resolve, and just want to pass her off as some superficial crazed idiot which she really isn't. (But then again I think the female cast of Gundam Wing is shortchanged as a whole)

That's so true. I totally agree. True, Relena may not be my favorite character from the series, but that doesn't mean I dislike her. (Completely, anyway. She does have qualities that sometimes get on my nerves, but then again, which character doesn't? I'm sure I have little peeves with all of the characters to a point.) People need to focus on all of her qualities (including her good ones), not just the ones that people find annoying. She's actually a more interesting character than people give her credit for. (That includes me sometimes. Gah, I'm such a hypocrite. But hey, I acknowledge it! XD)

Also, I'm in total agreement on your take on the female cast. I happen to like the women of Gundam Wing. :3

Agreed, I dont like her that much, but I appreciate the strong female role! I love the women of Gundam Wing, particularly Lady Une and Sally Po! I love the fact there are no weak women in the series!

Oh yeah, and my take on the episode. <3

I have to say, I'm so glad that Relena's little schoolmate posse appears in so few episodes. I just find them... somewhat annoying. XD;; (Okay, okay, really annoying.)

On another note, I'll bet Duo was really pissed that he wasn't even in this episode, what with the title and all. (He totally would have gone to that party. And crashed it. XD)

(That last paragraph was my Duo-fan side talking. Don't mind it, it just wants attention.)

Okay, I lied. Duo WAS in this episode. Briefly. XD

(...But he STILL would have been pissed to miss that party, I'm telling you.)

- If none of them know why your father was assassinated, why don't you TELL THEM?

- Aw, Heero, you know you want to go party it up.

- Why did she go to the party in her uniform? I know they said her dress wasn't ready, but she didn't have another dress?

- Hee, that lion's like "Bitch I don't like you either!"

- "Stay calm, don't get angry." And we start to see the frayed ends of Une's sanity.

- Howard was totally just smoking a joint.

- I like that the pilots don't know about each other in the beginning, since that's how it would work in reality. In a terrorist cell, the participants don't know who else is involved so if someone gets caught, it doesn't blow the whole operation.

- I have to admire Relena for keeping her cool in that kind of chaotic situation.

- The birds coming back was totally symbolic of people preferring the safety of a familiar regime rather than the peaceful world the Gundams bring.

Dude! Yes! The bird metaphor! I'm NOT the only one who got that! XD (I totally forgot that was in this episode. Duh-hur-hurr.)

...Howard totally was. XD
