I ordered directly from Subterranean Press and still haven't gotten my pre-order. I'm starting to get a bit sad about it.

It will come. They don't all go out at once.

Oh, I'm trying to be patient, but I feel like a kid on the days leading up to Yule. Every day I run to get the mail only to trudge back in disappointment. I figure, they charged me a long time ago, so I should be in the queue.

I'm getting a little nervous. I ordered directly from SubPress, nearly a year ago!, and haven't gotten a shipping notification yet. Guess I'll shoot them an e-mail if I don't get a shipping e-mail or receive the book tomorrow.

I'm with you, I prefer more sunlight compared to less. I am most definitely not a night person.

I think it annoys people that I'm not a night person. Because, you know. I'm spooky, right?

I'm being patient. It would have been brilliant to have Two Worlds as company on the plane to NJ, but what the hell - it might encourage to write some weirdness of my own. The book'll turn up in good time. Amazon were a bit shit in sending me Ammonite Violin, so that's a lesson learned.

Learning is good. So is writing on planes. Beats watching Sponge Bob on planes.

Sponge Bob... *shudder* No fit citizen of any sea.

Advice, if that's okay: are there any bookshops in New York (or even NJ) you could recommend?

Hmmmmm. I love the Strand in NYC. Amazing bookshop, but mostly used.

Luckily, my girlfriend and I were able to see Rasputina a couple of nights ago in Asheville. We got there early enough to be right against the stage in the front. That makes the third time we've seen them and it gets better every time. Last year I was able to get my picture taken with her and she signed her album that I bought. They are so amazing.
