A new dinosaur and aliens from Earth.

It's raining here in Atlanta. We had a wonderful bit of thunder and lightning a few hours ago.

It seems these days that new dinosaur taxa are being named faster than I can keep up with them. My thanks to shadowcircus for putting me wise to the new titanosauroid sauropod, Erketu ellisoni. Its remains were discovered in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia in 2002 (but ( Read more... )

I'm in love with the illustration.

For some reason, I find that the feel of the illustration fits with the feel I sometimes get from your work. Which might sound weird, but I mean that in the best possible way. I would explain further, but I fear that it would come off sounding weird and stupid and much less eloquent than what I want.

Heh, until I read the picture caption I thought the dinosaur had been named after Harlan Ellison. Because he revealed, at last, what killed the dinosaurs (and you're not looking so good yourself).

Awesome sauropod. I like to picture it wandering down LaSalle Street in downtown Chicago. I'm funny that way. I have this great picture book at home (can't recall the title, and I'm at work) which shows artistic representations of dinosaurs incorporated into modern life, as if humans and dinosaurs were coexisting in the world right now. It's an utterly fascinating trek for the imagination.

Yes. I've seen that, too, but can't recall the title or the author. Cool photos.
