A rainy, chilly first day of November, the wind trying to tug the the trees naked. There's a bad storm coming, to herald in the dead season. Our high today will be only 48˚F, but it's going to feel ten degrees colder. There's still the possibility of snow in the forecast. There's a wind advisory for tonight, with gusts up to 50mph. Pictures of both?
I also found a used copy of Lana Del Rey's Born to Die that was cheap because the jewel case is sort of smashed. I've become sort of obsessed with her torch song/hip hop/rock and roll.
I've never heard any of her songs beyond "Video Games" and "Gods and Monsters," and the last only because you linked Jessica Lange's astonishing cover. I love "Video Games." I realized in February that it reminds me of Siouxsie & The Banshees' "Strange Fruit."
I dreamed of you last night. I hope you're all right.

I can do that. Though, surely you've seen the former.

Track down more of her stuff.

I took the train to visit you and Spooky, although you had moved: you were living in a white, Colonial-style house set back from the road, on a sloping lawn with huge, autumn-shaggy trees slowly drifting leaf-trails on the wet grass. There was a Dimetrodon on the lawn. It was autumn-colored; its skin much more closely resembled a salamander's than a lizard's, scale-less and dully shining. Its sail was ribbed the same rust-and-bronze-orange as the fallen leaves. We watched it for a while.

My dentist tells me I have chameleon teeth. They take on the colour of whatever I'm eating (actually "chameleon teeth" was my term).
"Blood, Sex, Rock and Roll" emblazoned on the back, surrounding a bouquet of vampire skull and roses.
Sounds suitable for Dia de los Muertos anyway.

Wow, I don't think there's anywhere I can buy used CDs in San Diego now. I rather miss used CD shops.

Just curious, do you listen to much Chelsea Wolfe or any of KatieJane Garside's projects?

If I have to travel distances and I have the option, the train is the preferred way to go. I hope your trip goes smoothly.
I'd never thought to connect Lana Del Rey to David Lynch, but once pointed out it makes a lot of sense. Have you ever listened to Meg Myers or Eliza Rickman?
Tracking number says that the package was dropped off at your PO box. Some times the Post Office surprises me with its speed.

Note her covers of "Blue Velvet."

Nope.
And the package arrived. Thank you!
