First, this

Mazel tov!

Laura Veirs opened with a short set, and I love when an opening act turns out being an artist whose new to me that I discover I love, and suddenly there's all this new music (not new, but new to me) in my life.

Laura Veirs is fantastic-I have scattered handfuls of her music through 2011 and I love them. I'll send you some of my favorites if you like. Saltbreakers and July Flame are especially strong albums, although "Black Gold Blues" from Year of Meteors is often in my head. I don't know any of Warp and Weft, which I see is the most recent album. I'll look for it.

"Deep Red Bells" (yes, sovay!)

w00t!

Man, now I'm sorry I missed this show.

It was just...magical. How often do I say that?

I'm so glad. And faintly envious. And looking forward to Interstate Love Song.

Me, at sunset.

You look great.

July Flame are especially strong albums,

I bought Warp and Weft from her, but she was sold out of July Flame (except the vinyl), which I wanted. I'd love if you'd send it my way.

You look great.

You are kindly.

I'm taken with the way the curves in the lower portion of the staircase photo contrast with the sharp edges of the stairs and the rough texture of the bricks in the upper left.

It was a glorious staircase.

glad that you had a good day out with the Spookster.

Our weather here has been oscillating between the death throws of a typical wet spring and the arrival of the real summer, which is a 20 degree span with actual humidity, hard showers, and hot sun. All in a moment or two. We had hail over a week ago too.
