I'm trying - again - to cut off, get off, ditch the Seroquel, because it's turning my brain to mush. I slept maybe five fitful hours last night, and yet I feel more awake than if I'd slept seven on the Seroquel

As of yesterday, I have left the House every day for fourteen days. It might not sound like much, but it is.
Especially in a shut-in winter. Go, you.
articles on Level A hazmat suits, the Genesis probe, ethane-methane rivers on Titan, a "blacker than black" material developed from multi-walled carbon nanotubes, buckshot, North Carolina newspapers, the Huygens atmospheric entry probe, and the possibility of methanogenic organisms in cryogenic hydrocarbon lakes.
I spent most of my evening reading about Oppenheimer and the engineering of the Trinity gadget. It did not produce much wordcount, but I know many more details than I did, which I suppose is what was needed.
I decided to do an SF piece for Sirenia Digest #97 - the aforementioned "Chewing on Shadows" - to prepare me for the cyborg story I need to write immediately afterwards.
I like the sound of both of these things.
I just find the book fucking wretched in all respects. Dull, glib, badly written, poorly drawn and colored. My honest-to-Panthalassa first thought on

Yeah, I have issues with Seroquel and sleep as well, but for my anxiety/depression combo it works fairly decent, just means I have to expect sleeping 9-10 hours a night, and having major issues with getting moving in the AM. It's a trade off I can normally deal with. Hope the coming off of it is simple and lacking in weird foo. At least, unwelcome weird foo.
It puts me to sleep. But I never really wake up, and I have horrid rebound and anger issues from it. I love when anti-psychotics make me more psychotic.
I'm on episode 7 of the first season of Hannibal - loving it, and loved The Usual Suspects. Kevin Spacey is awesome and full of win, and I must watch House of Cards too!
Grimmer Tales comes out right around my birthday - preordering it is on my evening to-do list! In the meantime, not knowing what the question is to your answer about the final chapter, I feel as if I have ants going up and down my spine.

Thank you. It's my middle finger to the Polar Vortex.

A subject that fascinates me endlessly.
My honest-to-Panthalassa first thought on finishing Neonomicon (because I did) was
Yeah, I saw what you wrote, and I was very flattered. Before your entry, I'd not even heard of the book.

You'll need like five hands to express the proper opinion of it.
A subject that fascinates me endlessly.
I am hoping to handle it well.

I had to read From Hell to feel better about Alan Moore.

Good move. I honestly have no idea what crawled up his ass with Neonomicon.

I just recently saw Kevin Spacey in The Usual Suspects. I hadn't seen it before. It is still with me.
I truly adore that film.
