Liz Hand's a wonderful writer - great choice for the introduction.

Little Annie puts it well. Not my favourite shade of blue either.

Cold snow moon. The snow in the woods, lit only by full moonlight, is an amazing thing. I remember walking home from a friend's house many times after dark in the winter, and not needing the flashlight (it was a rural place, we had no street lights).
