Double vision

I received a new pair of glasses yesterday. The prescription looks wrong in the left eye at a distance. Great. I might need bifocals ( Read more... )

he likely told you to see your primary care physician because he isn't sure what it is and it is best to get checked out. In other words it is him pretty much surging (sp) his shoulders at you.

If it is a cataract then it is usually treated by a medical doctor/specialist not the eye doctor. Downunder you have to see you medical doctor to get a referral to a specialist. Cataracts can be removed by surgery, I am not too sure about astigmatism as mine are usually 'treated' with my eye script.

I wouldn't worry about it, though I know you will LOL

He originally checked for cataracts and didn't find anything. I think that's why he passed me off to my primary care doctor. I do have an astigmatism, but the glasses correct for that.

What ended up being the cause of the double vision was my medication.

Glad we know that was causing this. Anything to do with the eyes is a worry.
