when out of the doorway the tentacles stretch of a song that I know

I've been meaning to post since I first watched A Scandal in Belgravia, but my renewed Sherlock love was too strong for any sort of coherent thought. And then The Hounds of Baskerville happened and I was completely consumed and have barely picked up the book I'm reading since because all I wanted to read, all I wanted to do, was read Sherlock fic. fandom is love, sherlock

I love everything in this entry, from the song you're listening to (seriously, in my top ten of all songs ever) to the sentiment. I am consumed as well, to a level that should be unsettling but is just glorious. Ahhh. Any fic recs?

That song is about Sherlock, did you know? :)

Fic! A fair amount of what I've been reading (and finished) is in my Sherlock fic tag on pinboard. Though I have bee reading more fic than that so apparently I'm not quite as organized as I thought.

I'd specifically like to point out The Quiet Man (which still a WIP atm).

And, if you haven't read them, The Paradox Series and The Progress of Sherlock Holmes. They aren't new, but they are definitely my most re-read Sherlock fics.

Oh HEY,I didn't, but I'm going to have to give it another listen then :D.

Aah, thanks for the link to your pinboard. Will devour ASAP. I'm loving The Quiet Man and reading chapter 17 of The Sensation of Falling... as we speak, it's amazing. Heard a lot about the Paradox Series, I think it's next on my list, and Progress was the first thing I read in this fandom and well, it set the bar pretty high. Aalkjadlkhf

While going for a walk a minute ago I also discovered that there are Ani Difranco songs about Sherlock too. Or, well John after Reichenbach, anyway.

I believe The Paradox Series is one of the legendary fics of the fandom. And not only is that particular very mad version of Sherlock one of my favorites but there are truly fantastic podfics of the entire series. I highly recommend those as well, especially the ones recorded by pandarus. She manages to capture the inflection and intonation of both Benedict and Martin. It's really amazing.

I figured the chances of you not having read Progress were quite low, but I love it so much I had to make sure. I don't even know how many times I've listened to Paradox and read Progress at this point. Ivy's got some other shorter fics in the fandom too. All fantastic as always, especially Carte Blanche.

Damn, and now I want to reread my favorite fic instead of working on the website I'm meant to be finishing.

*grins so hard it aches a little*

Truly, it must be terrible not to occasionally have ALL THE FEELS. ;)
