Now that Mother Nature has moved her sandy vagina past Mayhem HQ, I cracked the hatches and did some damage assessment. Other than a torn canvas canopy that is part of the pergola on the deck and lots of leaves on just about every surface, there is no damage to report. A week ago today I lost my job of just over 30 years

A mixed blessing, perhaps - but it's still a shock. I had my old job for a little over half that time and I was just stunned. *big hugs*

Ugh, sorry to hear of the job loss. Hope you can find work in this economy quickly, but in your industry, that may not be as bad as in many others right now.

That said, glad you two didn't sustain too much other than a general mess and a torn canvas panel on your pergola.

It's just wet here, been raining all day with some minor flooding possible out near the mountains or where drains aren't draining well due to being clogged with fallen leaves.

Relieved and happy to hear that Sandy has left you guys none the worse for wear.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your job; hope the mixed blessing ends up leaning towards your favor.
Meanwhile, take good care of that spine of yours (I roll around on a couple of tennis balls to relieve the pain when the scoliosis acts up) :0)
