[Sylar paced anxiously around his room, picking up a book and setting it down again. Then trying to distract himself in some other way. He had always had feelings for his warden, but now they were just more apparent. Sometime in the night, after a dream, it had become clear to him. For the first time in so long, he could think clearly and he knew that he had to stop playing games with her. Certainly she would feel the same.
He waited, anxiously, moving into his closet to check his mirror again briefly; or, rather, to check himself in the mirror. His hair looked fine. He was choosing to remain intentionally shirtless and the jeans rested, fitting, on his hips. He didn't look fantastic, he supposed, but it would have to be enough. Kahlan always seemed like the sort of woman to look past those kinds of things anyway.]

[Kahlan arrived only a few minutes after she said she would and knocked on Sylar's door. She wondered what it was he wanted to speak to her about...hopefully not about getting his powers again. They'd already gone down that road and she honestly didn't want to argue with him about it.
She stood with her hands clasped in front of her, patiently waiting for Sylar to let her in.]

[Sylar immediately rushed to open the door, flinging it open and stepping aside to let her in. His ensemble didn't occur to him in the slightest and so he made no feigned apology for it, rather just waiting for her to enter.]
"Come in." [He waited for her to enter and then closed the door behind her, not moving from his position only a step away as he turned to face his warden. It was closer than he would normally stand to her, for certain.] "I need to talk to you."
