I don't really like groups

I prefer small intimate conversations with people I know. My friend Mariah finds this unacceptable and is set on breaking me of this and turning me into a social butterfly. I'm like, I'm fine if I'm around a bunch of guys. That's not the issue. I just don't really know how to talk to girls. The thing is guys initiate and I don't like to. I ( Read more... )

Well, I think I'm getting better about interacting in a purely platonic way but it seems way more boring somehow. Like talking about the weather.

I've been very good at it lately with my new friends Brian and Pete though. They are nice guys and yet totally unattractive in my eyes. I was exaggerating somewhat with my previous statement.

There's nothing wrong with not being a social butterfly. Also, I'm the same way. I can totally talk to guys easier than with girls (unless they play video games).

You can't turn introverts into extroverts, or vice versa... they can learn to emulate the opposite, but they still get completely drained by doing so.

You are probably right. However, I think if I had good experiences with girls I might be more comfortable around them. Part of it is that they've always treated me badly.
