Just rolling pins. The design (though quite ordinary) was inspired by one pictured in the Cape Evans hut in Antarctica, so one of them will be making its home in my polar hut, probably the one with plain handles.
I am sure there really is logic to what you do, but I love the apparent randomness of just suddenly thinking 'today I'll make rolling pins!' and making them :)
Heehee! Thank you! Yeah, sometimes it is pretty random. Actually I'll let things stew and marinate in my mind for a long time first, but then it does suddenly randomly happen when it finally happens. As it was, the rolling pins were about a 20 hour project straight, with no sleep (but a few other interruptions.) That includes photographing and photo-editing and listing them on Etsy too. It was kind of an obsessive-compulsive MUST MAKE ROLLING PINS NOW thing, all night. And of course I wanted to photograph them right away, but it was like 6am, and I need sunlight, so I took a groggy walk with my cats instead of going to bed, then came home and photographed them in the dawn sunlight, then photo-edited them, then... I forget what. I was very sleepy at that point, and realized I was doing a crappy job photo-editing, so I stopped. But then I got my second wind and somehow muddled through to the finish and went to bed for about 12 hours. Phew. What a wild life I lead
