isis2015 and
tellshannon815 asked for Sun and Jin at the
lostsquee Luau. This took a turn into a total AU, and is a deformed mirror of the Lost we know. I hope it's not a problem ;)
Title: Revenge Is Best Served Cold

Word count: 1140 words, rated PG-13 (violence)

au_bingo .
Sun is furious.
Once again, she had thought she was getting somewhere, maybe a hint to find the ones responsible for the fact that Jin is gone, but it had turned out to be a fool's hope.
And frankly? It will not do. Heads will roll.
No, it is time to go to the source of the problem, or at least to someone who wants revenge as much as she does.
She books a flight to England.

Sun stands by the window, eyes on the city that is all lighted up, pulsing with life. It's gorgeous but she's detached, she can't enjoy beauty anymore, haven't for years. She hears Widmore approach way before he enters his office, only to stop in his tracks when he spots her.
"Ms. Kwon," Widmore says, doing her the favor of not playing stupid. To his credit he doesn't turn on his heels and run, either. He maybe should. "What owes me the honour?"
"You and I have common interests," Sun says, and then turn to look at him. "Help me find Benjamin Linus."
"Why would I help you?" Widmore has the stupidity to ask.
In a second Sun is now behind him, one arm holding him firmly and the other gripping Widmore's hair, angling his head just so. She uncovers her fangs and hisses against his neck, too aware of the blood pumping only millimeters away.
"Because if you don't, I'll kill you too. Slowly, and painfully," she says softly.
The stench of fear on Widmore is satisfying.

In Los Angeles, Sun finally finds Ben's trace; it seems Widmore will get to live, after all. The surveillance picture shows that Ben is with Jack, and Sun sighs. If Jack happens to be there when she gets her hands on Ben, there is no guarantee that she'll be able to stop herself from killing him, too. The Healer had led Jin right to his demise.
When she makes her move, it's near a church of all places. Jack is there, yes, but Kate and Sayid are too. Sun gets out of her rental car and walks over, unhurried because there is no way that Ben can escape her, now. Sayid sees - or smells - her first.
"Sun," he declares, which makes everyone turn towards her.
Not surprisingly, Ben's already beady little eyes widen and he seems about to pass out.
"Oh, Sun, it's great to see you!" he stammers and Sun feels a slow and cruel smile spread on her face. He is going to pay and she will enjoy every second of it. She's going to drain him from every single drop of his blood, leave him dry as a crisp.
"Wait," Kate says at her turn, as she steps between Sun and her target.
"Move away, Kate," Sun declares. When Kate grabs Sun's arm, Sun looks at her coolly.
"Do not touch me," Sun says.
Immediately Kate lets go, raising her hands in the air.
"Sorry, reflex," she explains. It's true that succubus use contact to enhance their persuasion on humans, so Sun lets it pass. "We need him, please," Kate adds.
"What for?" Sun says, while Ben moves behind Sayid, as if seeking protection. The way the pack-less werewolf stands in a defensive position makes her think she might have a fight on her hands if they don't stop acting stupidly.
"We have to go back," Jack says. "He can help us find the Island."
"Why would you want to go back there?" Sun asks. It had taken everything to escape that cursed island, and she had lost her love in the process. "And why are you believing this piece of filth?" she adds, showing her teeth to Ben who recoils.
"Sawyer, Juliet, Miles, Claire... we have to help them get out, too," Kate explains.
For the Trickster, the Witch and the Psychic she can almost understand the desire. They had all bonded when stuck on that Island, being experimented on by Ben and his people. But Claire has so little Fae blood, she is practically human and they don't owe her anything at all.
"And Jin," Ben says, a bit shaky at first, but taking confidence. "I can help you find Jin."
Sun whips around to Ben, narrowing her gaze.
"What?"
"Jin's still alive, and I can prove it," Ben says.
"Liar!" Sun shouts. "I saw him die when the boat blew up!"
"No, he didn't, he made it to shore," Ben says, digging into his pocket and putting his hand forward.
It's Jin's ring. It should have sunk to the bottom of the ocean when Jin was destroyed by fire. The idea of Jin without it, at the mercy of the South Pacific sun makes her shudder.
"He would never have let you have it," Sun says, furious. She had given the ring to Jin two hundred years ago, when she had turned him, and it had never left his finger once. She moves fast, grabs it as Sayid growls, and steps back.
"You know perfectly well that he doesn't need it there," Ben argues.
The Island turns all supernatural beings into mere mortal humans with absolutely no powers. In one of his experiments, Ben had forced Sun to walk into daylight without her own ring: she had been terrified, and had put it back on as soon as possible.
"Why would you tell me this?"
"First, so you don't kill me before letting me speak," Ben says. "I just want to go back there, get rid of the demon. But I need you all with me to find the Island again."
It served them right, that one of their little experiments had backfired in their faces when they had brought a demon to the Island and it had NOT been rendered human. No, Esau had been pissed because he was trapped on the Island and had begun killing without discrimination. They had tried to escape but very few had made it into the real world, reverting to their true nature, and Sun had spent years thinking she had lost her love in the process.
"What then?" she asks.
"Either you decide to stay and live as humans, and I swear there will be no more experiments. You could start a family. Or you leave, if that's your wish, and we won't stop you," Ben says, and he looks as sincere as Benjamin Linus can look.
"Sun..." Jack says. "Please, come with us."
Still clutching Jin's ring, Sun nods. If there's a chance that Jin is still there, she has to go.
"Fine. But if we get there and it's a lie? Or Jin's gone?" Sun fixes Ben in the eyes as she talks, so he sees how serious she is. "You'll bleed to death, even if I have to slice your throat so it happens."
It's a promise.
The End.
since this is very Sun centric, and Queen
tellshannon815 did ask for Jin, I thought I'd try to sketch vampire!jin, or Jin just before he was turned (should have made him a bit paler! lol!).
Portraits are definitely not my strong suit... but I hope you like it!
