Hup Holland!

Did you hear whether they will continue as Serbia and Montenegro or Serbia or Montenegro, or when that whole independency thing will settle itself out?

Go Orange! On Euronews, they had a 'No Comment' section where they showed a whole bunch of orange fans. Quite impressive, I must say...

This is indeed Serbia-Montenegro's last World Cup as a united team, and in fact they only had like 3 Montenegri (Montenegran?) players as it was. Later in the day we gave ourselves a little history lesson about Angola. Yay World Cup history/geography/politics lessons!

Oh man, people here in Toronto are super crazy about the World Cup. It's fun!

You should totally go see a game in a crowded pub or something. On Sunday we met a guy who was in Switzerland for the 2004 EuroCup, where he got to see all kinds of crazy international soccermania. Toronto seems like enough of a big international city that you could have a lot of World Cup fun. I love it enough to watch it on my own, but it's way more fun in a big enthusiastic group. (P.S. y'all who can read this --- you're invited to help create just such a big enthusiastic group by watching soccer at our house!)

Yup, I'm going to try to. I keep missing them, or at least not being near a pub when they're going on.
