Does anyone know the origin of the phrase, "Wham, bam, thank you ma'am" ?

My father swears it's from Suffragette City, from Bowie's infamous Ziggy Stardust album, but I think it has to be earlier than that. Oh, silly conversations

Yeah, I'm completely biased as well, but it feels like it's from an era earlier than the 70's. Pah. I need to ask someone who's older than my father. They might know.

Oh silly laws that make so much sense but inconvience our lives. The Decemberists played yesterday (?) at the Paramount, but I didn't go. I was kind of glad. There was a review in the Times the the next day and they only played stuff from their new album : \

But! Are you coming home this weekend? And are you prepared for the new ferry ticketing system?! Are you?!
