avoiding Christmas

I'm going camping Christmas eve. I might come back late on Christmas, or I might stay two nights and not come back until the morning of the 26th. I think I'll head down to Mount Saint Helen's and pitch a tent next to the car. Nothing extreme, since I'm going alone. I have super warm gear and a good stove, so I'm not worried. Sounds lovely, but staying warm and dry in my cave sounds lovelier. You're welcome to do some family avoidance here, if you like. I miss you.

Wow that sounds really kickass. ^_^ If I was in better shape to do something like that (I'm not allowed out right now as I'm recovering from surgery), I'd be sorely tempted! Perhaps if it happens next year?

That sounds really fun - alas corivax and I are going to his parents' in Seattle. Car camping sounds really nice, though. In redundant excuses land, I remembered also that our tent was stolen in Mongolia, as was my sleeping bag, so fun though it sounds, it is unpossible!

I wish I could go with you too. This whole season has me feeling hyper one minute and totally drained the next. Family drama and crap going on in Tim's family that I just want no fucking part of. Unfortunately for me this is one of the few times a year that I am requested to be there by my MIL so I must go. I am alas also not allowed to sleep on the ground due to the pain in my back. Otherwise you would not be able to keep me away. I miss you and I would love to make a date for some quality cuddle and dinner time. I am pretty open after the holidays so if you want to give me a call and finally get me to make some real plans that would be really cool.

Hope that you have fun on your trip, wish I could be there.

What an awesome idea! I've been wishing I could do that same thing as of late, and you kinda made me think today, why the hell couldn't I???
