I got to...well over 150 books read in 2012, but that included, for example, 20 volumes of "Naruto". It also included some pretty hefty works (1Q84, Moby Dick, Life and Death are Wearing Me Out, Tree of Smoke), but not a whole lot.

I don't know what 2013 will be like, reading wise. Maybe being employed will take away from me reading.

WOW! That's a lot of books, and those totally count.
My job, my life, my social life, my being more active very much cut down on the amount of reading I did. I guess that's life.

In 2011, I got up to 216. But this was my typical day:

1. Get up around 9 AM. Drink some tea and kava, eat breakfast. Read for an hour or two.
2. Go on a bike ride and eat lunch.
3. Read until 5 PM.
4. Get on the internet.

So I would average about 6 hours of reading most days, which means some days I could get through two books easily...one in the morning, another in the afternoon. I think there were days I read four (short) books in a day, easily.

Impressive! And I'm so jealous. Unfortunately, my reading is mostly restricted to my lunch break. So, not more than about 50 pages a day.
