Dog Blogger

I think I am in love. Well, metaphorically. This blogger about dogs has not only keen insight and depth of experience and perspective, she writes beautifully and clearly about these things.

I've said or thought many versions of the following, but never so coherently, inclusively, or cohesivly. Please go check out the rest of her blog, if you like ( Read more... )

I really like her blog too. :) I disagree on Cesar Millan, to some degree, but that's mostly because I think that in general, telling people who have no idea what they're doing to try positive based methods is a lot better than telling them about dominance.

I do think he's got an amazing way with dogs, and I do think that some of what he does almost certainly works.

But, back to the actual topic -- she's got a lot of smarts about her. :) And it's kind of disturbing to realize that I've read all the authors she mentioned without doing it on purpose.

cool. thanks for that.

cesar is great, but i suppose it must be hard to put into words the silent communication and quiet everyday chat that goes on between you and your dorg, creating peace and harmony.

on my own with chuck for several days, i have dropped most of ian's way of dealing with him and he seems a lot quieter. i think we have a good rapport, actually.
