Awww, that's sweet! *grins* Gogo doesn't do holiday cards, but will figure out something nice for the f-list. And the HB girls are getting gifties from gogo & gogod as well.
Hiiiiiii~ Where have you been, woman? How the heck are you? Def haven't chatted w. you in ages because the "new spread" has been up for months.
But no worries!! Thank you for the complement. And, yes, Latin for the win. Gogo was considering gogo_regina as possible handle (and is still squatting on the name.)
Am so glad you stopped by to say hello. Would love to hear how you've been...
Thnxxxxxx for the MP3!! Yay! Am going to be listening to this all weekend. Gogo needs some little birdhouses to stay happy and sane during the Thanksgiving holiday. Le sigh.
Ok, "chan" and "sama" are Japanese titles. In Japanese, titles are added to the end of a person's name, rather than before it. So Ms. Gogo would be gogo-san. "San" means Mr., Mrs., and Ms.
"Chan" is kinda cutesy, something you'd say to a verrry good friend, a younger relative, or a child. It can be a cute term of endearment.
"Sama" is a title of respect. It's the equivalent of sir or madam or "your honor" or "your excellency." ((Bruce Wayne is definitely a sama.)) So, gogo is being rather snooty by referring to herself in such a manner. Also, it's not proper to refer to oneself with a title or honorific, unless you're making a joke. Which gogo kinda is.
Does any of that make sense??
Also, am happy to give you an MP3 or two in return. What kind of music to you like? Want a Japanese pop song since we're talking about Japanese stuff??
It was no problem to upload the MP3! Enjoy. I listen to anything, really, so if you want to upload something Japanese that'd be cool. Broaden my horizons a little. :D
Thanks for explaining! That makes tons of sense. I had heard "chan" used a little before, but didn't really know what it meant. And I definitely didn't know what "sama" was. But it was super easy to understand, thanks.
Sure! You have a little brother, right? If you wanted to be sweet to him (or tease him), you might call him nii-chan (nii means brother). A male peer (we'll call him Dude Smith) would be Smith-kun (you wouldn't call him Dude or Dude-kun unless you were really tight friends, or you felt like being disrespectful.)
Hmm, gogo will upload a few songs you might not have and will PM you the links. Probably won't get to it until later or tomorrow, tho.
Gogo considered "gogosempai" or "gogo_sempai." Seriously! There are a few people that call gogo that as well. But gogo's inner Kuchiki was like "sama all the way, princess." And thus it was.
Mmmm, so nice to have some Bya/Ren to read, yes/yes??
SRSLY. Gogod always says that gogo is Bya and Dante's illegitimate love child. (Actually, she says that gogo is their illegit ass-baby, but that don't sound so pretty, does it?)
Congrats on your new LJ name! Where is the fridge? *lifts bag with bottles of champagne* Definitely sounds more authoritarian (in a good sense) than chan. ;)
I wouldn't change mine since it is with me and is ME for around 12 years now. Last online test thingy I tried out revealed that my name truly reflects me.
Beautiful drawing you got there, hard to believe that is supposed to be a 'doodle'! That is actually t-shirt print worthy! Beautiful. :)
Your icon is WIN. And champagne is always welcome. Gogo looooooves the bubbly.
Isn't that Aziraphale amazing? You should pop on over to Gogod's LJ via that link and look at how she drew Kensei and Shuu. Sleeping Shuu looks soooooo shaggable sweet and sexy.
