Happy Holidays, it would seem.
Greed, Jyuushirou, Shunsui, Rukia, Orihime, Ichigo, Senna, Ran, anyone I might have forgotten...
Since I'm not always the most inventive sort, hope you won't mind something a little less personal.
Oh, Senna. Added something special to yours, thought it would come in handy.

It really depends on the human involved. To use powers like Sado or Orihime, you have to already have them. Although I would warrent that since you've been able to see Ichigo and the others when they're fighting, that there's a good chance you DO.
So in that case, you could certainly learn to access and control those.

What sort of training would it be?

You dont' have to pay any attention to the transformation. I'm just more comfortable this way much of the time.
As for the training, you would have to learn to first draw out your power, then learn to harness and use it. It's tough, but doable. I can also help you brush up on your hand-to-hand if you like.
[ooc: BC the idea of Tatsuki facing down Yoru and getting unexpectedly trounced is v. amusing to me. And I bet it would floor Tatsuki. XD]

So...you're...a cat? Uhh.
Oh!...I wasn't asking actually, but-Would you? I'd be grateful for that. I don't care how tough it is.
[ooc; "A cat beat me. uhhh" Yeah, I'm loving it! 8DDD]

No, I'm a Shinigami. Or at least, I was. I just spend much of my time as a cat.
If you'd like. I'm better at that part of it anyway. Kisuke's the brains, not me, so if you're looking for something more explanatory, you're out of luck. But I can train you, if you want.

Training is what I need more, more than explanations, I think. Would it help me kick Hollow ass if it worked? (Or at least, you know, not be the equivalent of a bug to them)

If you have the aptitude, yes. You could learn to not only defend yourself but actually cause some damage back.

[ooc; I also can't wait to see Ichigo's reaction, lol.]
