found the footage below. one of the rare cases where i like the narration. it definitely adds a level.

it's a rainy holiday today; marking something christ did once ... maybe leave.

instead of sleeping last night i made a maze for yusi's magazine.

i've been exercising more, which i'm happy about. it's a better distraction ( Read more... )

that's true about the job hunt thing. a good thing to remember. and actually i need to count myself lucky because i haven't had to work "a real job" since 1999. it will be nice to once again have some sort of regular income, even a small one, that i don't have to wonder if it is coming or not. living off of art has meant that i can spend months waiting AFTER a work has "sold" wondering when the buyer will actually pay. and then, even when you get the money you never know how long you have to make it stretch.

and the armatrading thing, ha ha ... after my slip, as i was looking around the room turning red, i saw the one older dyke give me what i'll assume was a sympathy smirk. it was a great show though. do check them out. and kudos on feeling the peach! chuckle. you know, she lives here in berlin. or i guess she still does; i haven't seen her around in ages. a straight friend of mine often laments the day she picked him up at a bar and he was too drunk to fuck. ha ha. you never know when opportunity will knock.

Those stairs are inspiring me. I might want to draw something like that soon. I used to be into 80's Eurovision songs but mostly just the stuff from Northern/Eastern Europe. I prefer the harsher sounding languages to the romantic languages and there were typically some melancholic hints, folksy bits weaved into 80's style rockers or teen pop songs. This has nothing to do with my mixed heritage as I'm primarily Lithuanian/English/Italian with a hint of Native American. From 79' to 87 was my area of concentration. I found England to always submit terrible songs..just the worst shit. A lot of the good songs were GOOD in the sense that they were catchy as hell, well composed. When my friend Anthony started dating a Swedish girl she knew the lyrics to the Swedish songs and when she told us some of what they were singing..well the songs sort of fell out of favor with me because the lyrics were goddamn terrible. I suspected this but it was better to be unaware. I haven't been much of a fan of pop music in years but I can appreciate the song ( ... )

DUDE! lol, I never would have suspected that you would be a Eurovision expert (well, an expert compared to me anyway). These are so funny. The Nuku Pommlin is maybe my pick of the bunch. And are they singing about Colorado in that last one? The Hurricane song reminded me of this video a friend sent once. An example of why German people shouldn't dance.
