Thanks for the inspiration! I've been thinking of letting H. help more in the kitchen but wasn't sure where to start. I like the dumping-in-ingredients idea. (You may want to chastise your spell-checker re: "flower" vs. "flour," BTW...)

I'm glad you like the idea; the girls really love participating, and this is something they can't get into too much trouble with. My mother tells me, as I mentioned in the column, that I started with the dumping-in-ingredients stage and then moved along, so it seemed a logical place to start.
