Jo was always my favorite too. From the time I was twelve to the time I was about twenty, I read the book ten times. (Then, I got the two sequels, and I've read the three of them all at once a couple of times. One of my favorite quotes ever from the series is from Little Men: "Mother Bhaer, I've come home." The first time I read that scene, I cried like a baby. This has nothing to do with Jo specifically, but I wanted to put it out there because, since you've read all three books too, you're one of the few people who would know what I'm talking about
( ... )
little women, i must've read about 40 times by now, no kidding. i've stopped counting by now =P the sequels i've read less of course, but it's been quite a few times, too. jo's boys a few times more than little men.
"Mother Bhaer, I've come home." --> awwww, my poor, poor danny ;_; i love that quote. (and it sounds so much more poignant in english! my copy of LM is in spanish). dan was such a great character, and my heart broke so much for him, so many times. don't even get me started on how things ended for him... ;_; he was one of my favorite characters in the saga (along with jo, laurie, nan, nat and josie).
i'm glad to hear i'm not the one who loves jo, yet still likes amy. i think that's where alcott was going with the character growth they both had in LW. and the rain has gone away now, well, somewhat! the alert state's no longer in place, now they're mostly in the rebuilding phase-- it really was quite devastating, but thank god it's over now.
as for the to-do list... *shifty eyes* erm, it's... still ongoing... heh... ^^;;;
