Dogsitting and navel gazing

We’re looking after my parents’ dog, Morrie, at the moment. He’s quite old, not interested in making new friends, yet despite this, unbelievably patient with the puppy who does not take no for an answer. It took a good few days for Morrie to settle in. There is something to be said about getting over the procrastination by ficusing on doing that -one thing- and nothing else.

I do find though that I often need mental space, rather than raw time, to be able to relax into crafts. Unless the must-do-now inspiration hits.

It could also be that I had the mental space with my time off to relax into it, you could be right. It took me more tha a few days off to tackle it.
