At last, another chapter of After the Deluge. Spike, Dawn and Andrew are in England. So is Buffy. It may be a small island, but it isn't that small, though. And travelling around the country isn't as easy as it might seem.

Roughly 1,080 words. Possibly PG-13 for Spike's language, but otherwise free of sex 'n violence.

Earlier chapters are here.

Woo hoo - look at that - you and I posting new chapters at exactly the same time (sort of, if you don't count time zones). **smooches you**

Oh joy! I knew my nocturnal bodyclock was set like this for a reason! Delicious chapter. I love how you've got Andrew still seeing things through his rose-coloured spectacles, and I enjoyed Dawn's struggle with the language (Bicester! hee!) immensely. OOOH I can't wait for the reunion - and what an intriguing place to end the chapter!

You keep hours as crazy as mine! Thank you so much. Once I had the Cotswolds, things like Bicester sort of wrote themselves. I even used Google maps for my research!

I am delighted that you're still along for the ride.

Somehow I get the idea that Andrew's not gonna get his dream reunion any time soon!

Would Andrew recognise it if he didn't?

Thanks for reading and commenting.

The heart of the Cotswolds was pretty in a nancy-boy sort of way, but underneath it was the bedrock. Easy to work when fresh, but hard, darkening and tough with age. Hiding secrets.

Ah, secrets ---

An update, yay. The story keeps percolating along with Spike on his own agenda, and Andrew floating on his cloud of dreams.

Andrew delights me in his utter cluelessness. I loved the bit where he and Spike went off together - Andrew undoubtedly believes to this day that they bonded...

I'm glad you're still enjoying it - thanks for commenting.

A fun chapter. I can just see Spike fuming over the changes and relearning the language. More soon?

I hope more soon. Spike is always best when he's about to explode with petty irritation, IMO. And Andrew just encapsulates that concept.
