Merlin's magic acting up in his sleep was just the sort of activity that would prompt Hunith to find her son some training though I think it's interesting that she wrote to Gaius months before she spoke to Merlin. I have to love Will and his exploitation of his friend's gift. He's been a great friend to Merlin, though, so what's a little law breaking between mates?
I enjoyed seeing Camelot for the first time through Merlin's awed eyes. You captured his reactions to the sights and sounds beautifully as well as his emotional reaction to that execution. It would give anyone pause to see a man beheaded on their first minutes in town.
Gaius is a dear and Arthur is a prat and asking Merlin to stay out of trouble won't keep him out of trouble. Well, an old man can hope!
