Kittehs, Kittehs, Everywhere

I have always liked cats. I like dogs fine too and we had dogs when I was growing up, but I have always really been more of a cat person. My earliest memory of cats is the barn cats at Peterson Ranch where I named them regardless of gender. I was still young enough to think that dogs were boys and cats were girls and when they had babies that ( Read more... )

I know there isn't a minute I don't thank Bast that she brought Jenny into my life, even now when she's trying to eat my fingers. Chester had you right where she wants you! Great, isn't it?

She is a total lovebug and she is eating well and got lots of praise tonight for using the paper to potty on, she figured it out pretty fast. Tomorrow we start with the kitty pan and I will be cleaning up one of the kittie carriers for her. (we have several sizes of animal carriers on the back porch all sheltered for the wild ones to keep warm in during Winter. No, we do not spoil the ferals at all) I am trying to figure out how to convince the rest of the world that the kitten needs to stay with me 24/7 as an anti-anxiety accessory, like a seeing eye dog. Mom is skeptical. So yeah, we are both wrapped pretty tightly around her little bitty paws. *grin* And I never thought I would be someone who would be excited about my kitten learning to paper train. *rolls eyes*

It just proves my theory that, like babies, kittens steal all your brain cells along with your heart.

Thank you!!! CHP would undoubtedly give you snuggles, if she were awake right now. She is sleeping in her box and not my shirt, a rare thing indeed. She prefers to sleep inside my shirt(while I am wearing it, mind you). *grin*

Someone once told me that cats find their owners, and I think your story proves it. My cat found me and we had many good years together. :) I love the stories and I know that Chessie will have a wonderful life with you!! *hug*

I can't wait to have my desktop computer put up so I can post pics because she is SO DAMN CUTE! And I never have a camera ready when she is at her cutest, but will try in future. Honestly, both mom and I are struck stupid regularly from laughing. Nothing gets done in the house because we are playing with Chessie. Dear gods, we are really pretty far gone. But it is a good kind of crazy, you're right there. And so far she is very sweet, she likes to snuggle and nap up under my chin, she napped with MamaSue for a while today and was the cutest ever, snuggled under the sleeve of my dad's jacket that stays on mom's bed. We are very happy to have kept her, only sorry her little sister/brother couldn't have been saved too. But I think between the two of us, Chessie will have plenty of company to keep her busy what with mom and me spoiling her rotton.

The story about the black kitty made me laugh! Basement Cat at his finest! *snerk*

Love you muchly, beautiful girl! And hugs all around!
