I wish I had that pain scale thing when I was in the hospital in Denmark. "When I ask you to push me down the stairs to get it over with, it means this!" *point to pain level*
And my doctors are happy with pain treated down from a 9 to a 5-7. And I wonder why I can't do anything. Argh. I think her pain scale is pretty accurate.
I would love to get down to a 4 when I'm not floating on morphine in the hospital. Just for a frickin' break.
Sorry, I just whined all over your LJ. I also tend to remain personable and cheerful, so they think I'm overstating my pain. Nope, just lots of practice at faking it, champ!
you whinge all you like, really, pain is suck and fail, and since I live at 6 pretty much always, yeah, her scale is sadly accurate. And some days it is good to laugh at it.
The one with the little alien like stick figures had me in tears - All I could think of was Illya! I wish I was more skilled at cartooning because I coudl see the same chart ala MFU!
THAT needs to be a t-shirt, or a scrub top. Ron would have crapped himself laughing (I would have said peed himself, but that ship sailed a long, long time ago.....)
Hilarious! And so true. I passed the "Ebola-no numbers status" once in my life. But here in Germany we don´t have such signs with funny faces to show our pain. Well, I never saw any. You have to shout and cry to make them believe you hurt. I couldn´t do that so the doctors thought it wasn´t that serious.

I see the hours of my life passing by as I read posts over there instead of doing more productive things.
So thanks. I think.
