yeah, still owie everywhere, but no blood clots, so that is good, if frustrating to still not know what is wrong with my finger being ouchie and swollen. I have two theories: A) gout, and B) repetitive motion injury from flipping people off too much. I am going with B because it is funnier ( Read more... )

Oh, oh. Pick Me! I can help!

Stop making the sign of Herne at me! That ought to cut the 'off-flipping' in about HALF.

Gout is actually a form of arthritis. I'm surprised they didn't check that out before checking for blood clots.

Eat cherries, drink cherry juice, and there are drugs that will clear up gout pretty darned fast. If that's what they're down to, insist on treating it NOW. Doug gets Gout occasionally, and with the right med he's all better in a week.

It isn't red and sensitive to the touch like gout can be, (and is in my dad and brother) and yeah, a form of arthritis, and why they didn't run the blood for that at the same time as the RA, which frankly scared me way much more dammit, I dunno. Gods forbid my doctors be efficient! Thanks for the Cherries clue, I will be (oh so frelling) happy to try that out. I love cherries. *beams* I appreciate the information, and yes, I will be hounding my doctor to find the solution to this issue, since I need one more chronic pain like I need a hole in my head, you know just what I mean, I am sure. :)

Not all arthritis displays the same way, though. Even clear RA factors doesn't completely eliminate the chance of RA. (I have a friend with RA, mactavish, and she's a bloody expert on it. When they ran my RA tests I had to insist to get them to check for Lupus factors too -- and Lupus runs in my family.

ouch that. One of my sisters has Lupus and another has some weird anemia that makes her violently ill. I have tested negative for both a couple of times so far, which is good I am thinking.

M~ and I both are loving your icon there. :)
