Pain meds are keeping the aches and pains to nil/tolerable levels, my sleep is sound and restful (should be, with the amount of demerol I'm taking), and my bodily processes have all come back online. I got admitted @11am 7/26, I was discharged @11am 7/29. The early admittance turned out to be because the hospital was going to have a bed shortage and if my surgeon had not gotten me in early I would have had to postpone. I honestly didn't mind, once I was settled in my room, because the AC in my room was fantastic ( Read more... )

Sian updating for Kitty again.

She's doing well, and is going to attempt walking as soon as she gets more painkiller. We're in a non-AC room (B 117) But the weather's nice and we have the big windows open. Gen is doing well, no farts yet (This is Very Important. details later if you're interested)

Gen's out of surgery, it went well. Dr said there was some scarring and some endo that he removed, and it was difficult, but there were no problems. Should be up in a few hours. I'm getting some rest until then.

Kitty is off to surgery. We're in a bit of a holding pattern here. She won't be back in the saame room after, so that will be updated when we know.

Well, I'm settled. unit g1, bed 114. HOWEVER, my room does not have cell or data coverage. sigh. I, in the unit lobby to send this. meh. at least I have great ac!

Here @ Stanford hospital, reg area 2. They are confused as to what to do with me. Meh. AC here still not fixed.

Instead of being admitted tomorrow morning, I'm being admitted as soon as I can get myself up to Stanford. Apparently despite gut-wrenching levels of metformin my glucose levels are 'critical', I don't have more details because I was pulled out of a very sound sleep by the telephone @8 with the first call.
