This is for derryderrydown who suggested a bartering system in order to finish her WIPs. [Note to the public: If you're gonna extort, this is how you do it. *wink

You have made my evening seem ever so much less dark. God, his infinite dignity, being led off to whatever by whomever. The contours. The Thighs on that boy. I have ceased to mourn the floppy hair, for the purposes of this art, because damn, that's pretty. Thank you for posting this.
I, too, was in deep mourning over his new shave. It was difficult finding a happy medium between what I liked and what was unfornately canon. But I really liked what came out of it.
And I'm glad you connected with this picture in ways I was hoping it would be read. Derry's comments about Roy had a tone and feel that really guided my pencils. I was very deliberate in choosing this particular pose.
The text of my response over IM to petronlle, who kindly pointed me to this post:
[20:08] dfgvgbnmjki.i96yyh gnbnuhkj, [20:08] ROY [20:08] ASS [20:08] NIPPLE [20:09] ::THUD::
I want to talk about how fabulous Roy's posture and facial expression are, and the amazing work you did with musculature and shading... but I'm pretty much stuck on keyboard-mash, monosyllabic grunts, and knocking my head against the monitor in a futile attempt to get closer to Roy.
Your a man a few words. And the ones that count obviously. ;)
The posture and facial expression are definitely the bread and butter of this pic. While they both convey their own thing, the tension in his hands suggest another. Its quite delicious.
And thanks for your comments on the shading. I really wanted to display Roy as being musculature without looking too athletic/acrobatic that one would normally see on Dick or Wally. ...mm, Fargo's on. I love this movie.
The problem with trying to comment on this is the more I stare at it the more of my brain melts and drips out my ears. I adore all the details I see, but the whole is leaving me, too, gibbering and incoherent.
Talk to derryderrydown about that one. This was all her idea and it wouldn't surprise me if she had story to go with it.
I had alot of fun doing this picture. Its one that definitely works out the inner demons. Kinda gets your ducks in row, if y'know what I mean. *evil grin*

That? Is hot. Seriously, seriously hot. With lots of hotness. Hotly.
I could be more coherent if my brain hadn't melted. askfdjhsakdfh.
