This is an interesting fic, lilachigh, and I think I know what you were aiming at, but I'm not sure if I understand what's "happy" about this particular ending. *confused*

Oh dear, two readers who I‘ve confused. Sorry. The ghost is quoting Xander from end of OMWF when he laughed and said to Sweet all he wanted was “a happy ending”

I understand that part, lilachigh. I'm still puzzled, though. What I'm saying is, I recognize the OMWF reference, but I don't understand why this ending is "happy". Xander got an ending. It doesn't look like a happy one.

Whoa that was crazy but I don't get who is talking or what the happy ending is supposed to be. Explain?

Oh dear, I’ve been confusing. The ghost is one of the people burnt to death in OMWF and the quote is Xander telling Sweet at the end of that episode that he just wanted “a happy ending”.
