What's unreal is that there have been more than 103 pages of posts about this under News, and the LJ team is saying nothing...except that they wouldn't want this imposed on them. No, really. They said that:

O RLY? You share our concerns? THEN WHY THE FUCK DID YOU SET UP THIS SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE?
It makes no sense. If they knew there could possibly be a concern over privacy issues, why the hell didn't they set it up as an opt-in feature for comments and allow each account holder to determine if they wanted to allow cross-posting from their journals? It couldn't have taken that much more coding, for eff's sake!
