Another Day, Another Wedding Date

Feb 24, 2014 01:20

I definitely didn't plan on picking a third wedding date. When we changed it the first time, we discussed it and even though I was the one that picked out the date, Mike gave the okay and I really liked the idea of having our honeymoon on Valentine's Day. But Jean came to us the other day and she said that she thought we should change the date ( Read more... )

It is a bit stressful and I'm sure it's not going to end there, but I'm trying not to let it drive me crazy.

Thanks for the good luck wishes!

I thought planning our wedding was complicated but at least we didn't have to consider airfares. Best of luck with all of that and with the doctor's appointment.

I don't want to be selfish and go "Yeah airfare is everyone else's problem" but I don't want to let that issue hold me up. Hopefully the rates are reasonable enough and the people who matter can come.

Thanks!

Are you too busy to cook your own food? Like soup is very easy to make from scratch, and I don't know what was in your breakfast sandwiches but if you make your own sandwiches they don't need to contain transfats. We eat a lot of stir fries etc on vegetarian days, and that's just vegetables tossed in a wok with a bit of oil and whatever sauce I make. You can use frozen vegetables!

On certain days we don't have time to cook, but Mike did find this magazine a few weeks ago of different recipes for soups. The first one we made was this really healthy couscous meatball soup, which I wasn't sure would taste great at first but it was really excellent. Then we made a stuffed pepper soup that was great, too. We just haven't had the chance to try a third one yet.

We've also tried stir fry and that was good.

I guess I was mostly just complaining because I can get very lazy and I was worried about finding stuff when I just want something that's easy and not time consuming. But I am realizing there are options. Like Mike talked to me about making oatmeal for breakfast, but not instant since that adds some unhealthy stuff.

Yeah, speaking from experience of losing around 30kg, 1.2k calories is a killer. I just stagnated having that little to eat, and when I upped it to nearer to 1.5-1.8k, I started to lose the weight again.

Thanks! I'm going to try to do better on the carbs thing, but it's definitely an uphill battle for me.

Pam's great. Even though he's a dick I think Archer's my favorite so far.

The other day I was at work and we have to greet people every time they come and the lady next to me kept saying hello in the exact same way Cyril kept saying hello when they showed him having sex with random women and I kept picturing that every time she said it and almost burst out laughing.
