I adore how they can convince themselves of anything! This really is their trademark.
Lovely story, you hit all the right notes - the boys, Jack's forethought and light fingers, Teague's boiling temper and the ending, awww, made me smile. Thanks for sharing this.

The boys are perfectly depicted here, and in fine form! I can easily see this scenario playing out for them, and "hear" their voices saying those lines! Great job!
Love Jack's "lifting" of Teague's firearm here! And very nice of him to protect P&R, even though (double-turncoats that they are!) he's actually got no compelling cause to save their sorry hides!
And Teague! Scary dude indeed, but with such a soft, sentimental side for his lost Isabel, and for little Jamie as well! Love his "I won't shoot 'em. At least until after the holidays." Methinks it would be prudent for P&R to err on the side of caution, and make other plans for the New Year! ;-)
Another fine P&R (mis)adventure! Great fun, and a simply divine little Christmas fic!
