Omg Colin, is there any show/movie with you in it that won't make me bowl my eyes out? XD

Good job though, sounds like another great working opportunity for him!

A terrific book, absolutely worth reading and yes a heartbreaking death (again!) - depending on where they stop the film. The television series was beautifully done and Victor was movingly played by Gilli's real life uncle: Michael Troughton

I did race up to the library and borrow the book (am a broke fangirl!)

She sounds like an absolutely fascinating lady. I'm so glad too that (yes even though they are remaking it) they're also doing one from a female perspective.

Nearly a century has passed and now we are friends. Of course we that have not read this book shall now read it and in a very small way, a very small way indeed, shall begin to know a tiny bit of the suffering of our countrymen in 1914.

Like "Im Westen Nichts Neues" ("All Quiet on the Western Front"),"Testament of Youth" brings vividly to mind for later generations the utter pointlessness and futility of war. Vera Brittain was a lifelong pacifist after her experience of seeing the deaths of her beloved brother, her fiancé and their friends, one by one.

Eeeeeeeeeeeee! Something I can see Colin in! *Does the happy dance* And I can totally see why Colin was cast for that character. He is the king of heartbreaking characters.

I wonder if it the same project that a guy on twitter was talking a while back commenting how lovely Colin was and how he instantly increased his twitter followers by mentioning Colin's name?

I have my doubts we ever see Bradley on screen again :( As much as I love Colin, Bradley is such a special man too!

You are so right - he is a special person and he would have done a terrific job as Roland - public school and holding in emotions. Roland was a leader with a lot going on that was unexpressed even to Vera according to Testament of Youth. I could just see him in that noble, repressed, heroic and doomed ... oops Arthur. Perhaps too similar for him to choose. Perhaps Bradley does not realise how much his acting/he is missed?

IDK, he may be picking for too long...I'm absolutely positive Bradley does not realise that, although I'm sure Colin reminds it to him every chance he has. He is very supportive according to Bradley.
