[Merlin Series 3] Blog update Sébastien Querité [news | pics]
French 2nd Unit Director Sébastien Quérité updated his blog with a short report about filming in Pierrefonds the past 2 weeks and posted 13 pics to his gallery. Seems as if not everything went according to plan... O_o

I've also made a screenshot of my crappy translationTM and uploaded it HERE (his report doesn't contain any S3 spoilers, only a small and blurry pic from filming in the throne room that doesn't give away much - not even who's in the pic :P)
The final session of shooting for Merlin S3 in France just ended in sorrow.
After choosing to further cut down the period of filming from 2 1/2 weeks to 1 1/2 weeks, the result was hardly surprising: the entire period turned into working in double teams and simultaneously switching between scenes for episodes 12/13 (block 4) or episodes 9/11 (block 5) every day in different places of the castle. The actors were heading from one place to the other, changing and returning costumes to fit the script corresponding to the sequence in question.
Because the scripts were completed late, work plans were developed last minute and the entire organisation suffered. The last day of shooting gave the impression of complete improvisation that translated to great confusion on location. I don't know if this has an effect on the outcome, but it's been on the team.
Again this year a party was held in France on September 11th , which allowed despite the difficulties of recementing (???) to feel like a part of the team. Still three days for me to finish things before leaving Pierrefonds for some time.
