(Term of Endearment[1]) (Recipient's Name[2]),
(Paragraph 1: This serves as an introduction and will focus on sentiments prompted by the recipient in the sender.)
(Paragraphs 2-4: Succeeding paragraphs will discuss the nature of the recipient and why they appeal to the sender. Cite characteristics and convey why such traits are deemed pleasing. You may exceed the advised number of paragraphs.)
(Paragraph 5: In composing your conclusion, a synthesis of time spent with the recipient paired with one's tentative plans for the future is advised.)
(Closing Regards of Choice[3]),
(Sender's Name)
[1] In selecting a term of endearment to address the recipient with, take into consideration the length of your acquaintance with the individual. "Dear" is standard for most letters of this nature but if the relationship has lasted for a considerable amount of time (e. g. matrimonial), using more intimate terminology may be more appropriate.
[2] One may also opt for a nickname.
[3] "Sincerely" is ill-suited for this type of letter. "With fondness" may be utilized for a relationship that has yet to fully come to fruition. Terms that convey more feeling like "Your beloved" work better if the bond between the sender and recipient has been strengthened by time.
Addendum: Due to the intimacy conveyed by a letter of this nature, it is advised that one write it out by hand.
