New new Doctor

I've just watched the Doctor Who special The Power of the Doctor and OH. MY. GOD. That ending!!!! I think my head and my heart just exploded.

But how is there no buzz about it?! No posts on my friends page about it at all! Has no one else seen it?

I've been a bit surprised by the lack of buzz too. Maybe people are afraid to spoil the ending?

I have to confess that I was happy with the special for nostalgic reasons alone. It was wonderful to see Tegan and Ace again, and there were a couple of moments where I actually teared up.

As Doctor Who is moving to Disney Plus (outside the UK), I probably won't get to watch any new episodes for a long time, so this was a good one to end on. :-)

Just the opposite for me - now that it moves to Disney+ I'll finally have a chance to watch them within a reasonable time frame.
(We've only had the first 2 seasons with Jody on "normal" TV so far!)

Possibly, although I would have thought that the revelation was enough to make people want to share it!

I liked seeing all the old Doctors, although I realised at one point that I'd met them all and got all their autographs apart from David Bradley so that was amusing :)

I'm not sure I like the idea of Doctor Who being part of Disney+. I think it's down to the fact that the government has changed some of the funding that the BBC gets so they don't have as much money any more. They have to fill in the surplus somehow in order to carry on making things like Doctor Who so I presume Disney has given them a huge amount in order to show it.

Really?! I had no idea you were so far behind. I hope you don't get spoiled about this episode before you have chance to see it, although it sounds like you might have a long time to wait :-/

It really was ♥ I was seriously surprised by it too, I had no idea! And I will admit that it made me very emotional.

My friend texted me about it I think the next morning. I had no idea. I also need to find a way to watch online.

I had no idea either, I was really surprised by the revelation. I don't know if there's any legal way to watch it online outside of the UK. The regeneration scene is on the Doctor Who YouTube channel if that's the main bit you're interested in.
