Hello! I'm currently a UF student living with a roommate in Frederick Gardens. Our lease is up in October, and while I know that's ages away, I'm looking for a new place. Without roommates. I think your expectations may be a bit high, but you may be able to find some places on craigslist--not many. Most 1/1's run a but higher that $525 and then GRU (on top of that) can be outrageous.

I've been at Archer Woods for many years. It's smaller, but I love the floorplan. Kitchen & living on first floor and bathroom & bedroom on 2nd. It's got a decent amount of storage (3 closets) and dishwasher. Not too shabby for $575.

Unfortunately I think that might be hard to find. I had a 1 bedroom in bel-air off 6th for 585 but GRU is crazy. We never put the ac below 81 in the summer and never paid less than $180 for utilities...averaged $210 in the summer. I agree with the previous comment about checking craigslist. I hope you find something! :)
