i deal with this a lot. i have 10 friends who are pregnant right now plus i'm around a lot of married couples. it definitely puts pressure on me... like maybe i should be trying to find a husband by now? or making babies? or both?

but damn, i'm 23! i'm still young! i just need to be around fabulous single or baby free people and enjoy life some more! lol maybe that will alleviate some pressure?

I guess that's what we both need to do. Branch out our friend bases. I think it wouldn't seem so omg important! if we surrounded ourselves with more single folk.

23 is damn young! stay fabulous babe.

My mum has this theory that life happens in 7-year segments (it's the amount of time it supposedly takes for every single cell in your body to be replaced with a new one). So from ages 14-21 you go through your adolescence, and 21-28 you are becoming an adult, so you won't fully be grown up until age 28. That works for me since I'm 21 and have only the vaguest idea of who I want to be when I grow up. So no, don't rush! It's just a shame there is this feeling of pressure today, pick a career, land a husband. We should all do what makes us happy, dammit! =)

I love the way your mom thinks! I'm kicking that biological clock way back in my head. Also, I think Dethklok is awesome.

In all seriousness, though, don't rush yourself. I don't regret my marriage and I may be pregnant and I don't regret that either, but there are times where I want to do something, another girl for instance, but my marriage twat blocks me and then I'm pissed off. So definitely don't feel rushed or left behind on anything. Go on and get yours. Marriage and babies will still be there when you're in your 30s.

It's crazy how just being in the vicinity of another pregnant woman can make your ovaries go into hysterics, though. Much as I hate the freetards, 'baby rabies' is a perfectly apt description.

You're going to be the funniest, most frank mother on the planet. I'm kinda envious of your kid.

I still haven't got a phone call so I think my booty is in the clear.
