= Holy crap, the Golden Globes have been canceled. Not that I'm surprised, since they announced that SAG wouldn't be crossing the picket lines to attend but my GOD. This is getting out of hand. It's one thing to take away my regular, weekly tv shows, but to take away my AWARD SHOWS? Why do you people hate me soooo!!?!? What's next? Coming

I know, I know. I'm only just now returning to the land of the living. I was just enjoying my shell way too much the last few months, but boy, how very depressing after a while. I'm glad you're enjoying your theatre world though! As long as we all have something to love, I'm happy for us, no matter how we've all dispersed ourselves throughout other fandoms. *hugs*

I'm extremely sad about the GG. I love watching the celebrities get drunk and make fools of themselves. Plus all the pretty sparkly dresses.

I know, I hate missing award shows. I know they're shallow and mean nothing in the greater scheme of things, but that's kindof what I love about them. Sigh. I really hope this strike ends soon. :(

Oh, I really do, too. I fully support their *reasons* for striking, but there are all kinds of other sub-stories here, too. On a given show with maybe 10 writers who are striking and causing a show to end production, there's another 200 staffers and employees who CAN'T work because of it, and they don't get paid nearly what the writers already do. It's a touch situation all the way around, and right now, NOBODY is winning. :(

I know, that's the worst thing about strikes. Basically is sucks for everyone except the people that are being striked against. Because people are still watching TV and movies and adevtisers are still paying for commercials. So the studios and producers are the only ones making money! Entire companies are going out of business! Sucks.
