I for one, welcome our new baby overlord!

Today my little love is a little over a month old.

Parenthood is a lot like Sherman's March to the Sea. You'll remember that from history class, (or maybe not). Let me put it to you this way. During the Civil War, William Tecumsah Sherman, a Union General, was ordered to march to the sea. He did so while cutting a swathe of destruction through the ( Read more... )

*hugs* Indeed, she is very much more cute. I'm rather glad that that sort of monkey-face beard has gone out of style.

Yay R vs. J! ^_^

I don't care if it's in style or not. I'm not down for her modeling any sort of facial hair.

*poke* I'll show you mine if you show me more Noir de la Lune.

In another four weeks or so, you'll feel like you've come up for air! The first two months, hands down, are the most insanely difficult for parental survival.

Then she gives you one of those gooey smiles and you don't mind extending her warranty.

Babies are infinitely craftier then they are given credit for. Just about the moment I'm about to give up entirely she does something so adorable a body can hardly stand it and its all ok. I'll just have to get my own back by waiting until she's all grown up and then going slightly nuts, a la my parents.

*pokes CD in player*

*swelling theme of 'The Circle of Life' from the 'Lion King' fills the room*

That, and take lots of pictures. Preferably too-cute ones to embarrass her when she's a teen and trying your patience.

*Inserts ear plugs*

*Attacks Fenik with serious intent to tickle*

Nothing will beat Sting. Rumor has it he showed the video of his son's birth at the poor boy's 18th birthday party.

Only you would relate parenthood to total destruction. I'm so glad everything's worked out, though I'm sure you could probably use a lot more sleep that you're getting.

And narrative action in your R vs. J? Why, that almost sounds like determination...!

I'm sure I'm not the only person to notice the resemblance between parenting and scorched earth warfare. Sleep? Sleep is for the weak!

...

Of which I am one. *sob*

Oh I'm determined alright. Now to get my husband to hook my computer back up...

Maybe all those newfangled baby devices have made you forget that the pen and paper is also an excellent tool of rudimentary communication...?

Quiet you! The notes already exist in the very format you mention but alas, my notebook lacks even a dial up connection. XD
