It's like he *wants* to be beaten bloody...

"Would you rather have a boy or a girl first?" I asked my husband the other day. His response? A slow smile and one jinx inducing word.

"Twins."

Just smile sweetly and say, "Sure, honey... so long as YOU pop 'em out that teeny-tiny slit!"

Twins are lovely in theory, but hell in reality.

You are preaching to the choir. I'll take what I get and be thankful for it but the man seems to be barely cognizant of the logistics involved in caring for one, let alone two. That being said, there is some chance he may get his wish since my mother is a fraternal twin.

Speaking of babies, how is the redhead doing? Over the pox?

Red-head still breaking out in new colourful patterns, but not sick enough to avoid boredom. Evil Mom-Lady is bringing some schoolwork home with her after dropping off J, so the weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth is bound to be long and loud!

So long as he's quiet while I try to write some smut this morning, it's all good!

Meeps. O_O My sympathies are with you already. At least the odds are generally in your favor, though not as much as they'd be if your mother wasn't a twin...

At least, if you should have twins, you can remind him of how he was looking forward to them right up until he had to stay up all night with the cranky buggers and then go to work the next day. :P

Yeah... I'll take what I get and be happy with it. Health and not number is the main thing. That being said, he would totally come to understand why I would be slightly less then thrilled to start out parenthood with the kid to parent ratio evenly matched you know? Not to mention the fact that whether they wake him up or not, he still doesn't have to give birth to the little darlings.
